Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician. Born on the 20th of October 1964, she was the 49th Vice-President of the United States. Kamala Devi Harris is the first female vice president and the most powerful female politician in U.S. history, as also the first African American and first Asian American vice president. As a member of the Democratic Party, she has been attorney general for California between 2011 and 2017, and also as a United States senator representing California until 2021. Harris was born in Oakland and attended Howard University, University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris started her career at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Then she was recruited to San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003, she was appointed the San Francisco district attorney. In 2010, Harris was elected Attorney General for California. Harris was elected again in 2014. Harris was the United States junior senator from California from 2017 until 2021. Harris beat Loretta Sánchez in the 2016 Senate elections, becoming the 2nd African American woman, and the first South Asian American, to be a senator in the United States Senate. She was a senator who advocated for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. A pathway to citizenship for immigrants who are not legally recognized. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. She is best known for her sharp questions to Trump administration officials during Senate hearings.
