Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most well-known work is her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as a speech and family therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
